The 2008 Tara Grinna swim separates collection celebrates the glamorous spirit of Old Hollywood in feminine florals and bright geometrics as well as sophisticated monochromatic textured solids featuring luxurious European fabrications for which Tara Grinna has become so well known.
The hard to fit figure is a focal point in all design silhouettes offering bra tops from AA cups for enhancement of a minimal bust line up to EE cups which offer the best support in the industry. Bottoms range from the bikini to the most covering skirted brief. One piece silhouettes are sophisticated and create long lean lines for a slenderizing look. Tara Grinna began her career in Palm Beach, Florida designing couture, or custom made, swimwear for the rich and famous, including Ethel Kennedy. She quickly established herself as an expert in how to design a swimsuit that flatters the female figure. In 1987, she moved to Myrtle Beach, South Caralina and, with her mother Eleanor Langley as her partner, opened La Plage swimwear where she continued to design and sew couture swimwear. Her husband, Rune, joined the business in 1991 and managed the launch of the Tara Grinna Swimwear label which is now found in retail stores throughout the United States and abroad. Designing for real women, Grinna creates styles to flatter every figure, from one piece tank suits and maillots to tankinis, bandinis and other two piece suits with a variety of tops and bottoms. Tara Grinna swimwear is sold as separates with a variety of tops sized to EE, and bottoms to size 18.
